Location issue in central Moscow – an important alert for all visitors to the capital!
Dear friends, we have recently noticed a problem that many visitors to Moscow face, especially in central areas like Red Square, Arbat Street, and Tverskaya, which is:
🚫 Difficulty accurately determining location through apps like Yandex and Google Maps.
The reason is due to:
The cause of these disruptions is believed to be GPS spoofing, where a fake GPS signal is transmitted to interfere with legitimate signals, potentially for security reasons (security from Drones using Gps).
Interference or weakness of GPS signals inside narrow streets.
Security restrictions around some important sites.
📉 The result:
Your location may appear far from your actual place or the Taxi driver may be sent to the wrong place, causing delays or confusion in delivery.
✅ The best and fastest solution:
Use a known and fixed point as a starting or arrival point (such as a nearby metro station, a well-known hotel, or a famous restaurant).
Send the location manually directly to the driver.
Avoid using “My current location” automatically inside the center – as it is often inaccurate.
🧭 Our team is always ready to help you determine the correct location and communicate with the driver to ensure your comfort and quick arrival.
